Best-Selling Girl Group of All Time?

Best-Selling Girl Group of All Time?

That’s right. Baby, Posh, Sporty, Naughty, Crappy & Sleepy were - and continue to be - the best-selling girl group of all time.

Granted, there hasn’t been a ton of competition in recent years (Danity Kane, anyone?) & if Beyonce hadn’t ditched the other two, they would have given those Brits a run for their money.

In the meantime, I’m sure all you “reallyreallywant” is an update on those alleged “singers”. It’s your lucky day.

THE SPICE GIRLS

Posh

There’s nothing I can tell you that you haven’t seen on the cover of “US”. Net-net: she married well. And air brushing is her friend.

Emma “Baby” Button

According to her fansite, she just got back from a trip to Orlando. Woo!

Melanie “Sporty” Chilsom

She tried her hand at white girl rapping, but unfortunately for “Mel C”, Lily Allen beat her to the punch. I think she recently had a baby. Tiny Spice!

Geri “Ginger” Halliwell

Apparently she’s taken the high road. Accordingly to her website, she’s a Goodwill Ambassador & she’s writing children’s books. If I remember correctly, she was the one who came closest to actually singing.

Melanie “Scary” Brown

Thanks to a love child with Eddie Murphy and “Dancing with the Stars”, “Mel B” has maintained C level status. God bless reality TV.

I’m guessing the comeback tour in 2007 didn’t do much for sales (that ballad was just dreadful), but back in the day, lots-o-”wannabes” took a stab at a remake. Check out this gem:

Closing thought: If this is the best-selling girl group of all time, we have a lot of work to do.

Mel C didn’t “white girl rap.” She did a HUGE song with a rapper. I don’t know where you get off saying that. She’s also had FOUR solo albums..all of which did very well. She’s easily the most successful Spice Girl.

I’m not even a fan of them but no one can deny how awesome they were in the 90’s and even there reunion tour was a huge success.

    Get your facts straight.

Back in the day, my best friend & I capped off a night out watching Spice World (or whatever their movie was called) with stopping by a local museum to see the travelling show of Princess Di’s dresses.
