Caller ID. Talk about a total mind blow from the 90’s. Even though the novelty wore off pretty quickly, it was still a huge rush to pick up the phone and immediately identify the caller.

“The act of fitting out or equipping (for a voyage or an expedition)”
While my “voyages” back in the early 90s were to after school dances and boy/girl basement parties, they absolutely required the right “equipping”.

It’s hard to believe how well the advertising worked back in the day, never failing to strongly influence our birthday/holiday wish lists.
