Caller ID. Talk about a total mind blow from the 90’s. Even though the novelty wore off pretty quickly, it was still a huge rush to pick up the phone and immediately identify the caller.

“HEY SARAH!”
“…..whaaat? how did you know it was me?!”
“Oh, intuition of course. Duh.”

Never got old. Well I guess it sort of got old once my friends were too annoyed to call me anymore. It’s amazing how we take this once phenomenom for granted as it is now a standard feature on all cell phones. Goodbye forever, element of caller surprise.
